Interactive Brokers is expanding its crypto trading and transfers, adding 12 new tokens and enabling stablecoin withdrawals to external wallets in a July 14, 2026 rollout that deepens the brokerage's push into digital asset services.

Interactive Brokers is expanding its crypto trading and transfers, adding 12 new tokens and enabling stablecoin withdrawals to external wallets in a July 14, 2026 rollout that deepens the brokerage’s push into digital asset services.

What Interactive Brokers Is Expanding in Crypto

Interactive Brokers said on July 14 that it added nine new tokens for trading through zerohash and three more through Paxos, according to the company’s announcement. For related coverage, see Best Crypto 2026: APEMARS Leads with Explosive Presale ROI Don't Miss These 10 Powerhouse Coins.

Nine newly tradable tokens were added via zerohash and three more via Paxos.

The newly added zerohash tokens are AAVE, APT, CC, LDO, MON, NEAR, XPL, PAXG, and UNI. Of those, AAVE, UNI, and PAXG are also available through Paxos. For related coverage, see Roobet Launches Prediction Markets on May 6, The First Major Crypto Casino to Integrate the Format.

Separately, clients can now withdraw USD by having it automatically converted to USDC, PYUSD, or RLUSD and sent to external wallets. The broker’s product page confirms clients can trade 20 named crypto assets and hold USD and crypto in one account. WHAT TO KNOW

  • Trading: 12 tokens added, nine via zerohash and three via Paxos.
  • Transfers: USD withdrawals convert automatically to USDC, PYUSD, or RLUSD for external wallets.
  • Speed: Funding and external transfers process near-instantly, 24/7, including weekends and holidays.

Why Crypto Transfers Matter for Brokerage Clients

Trading access and transfer capability are materially different features. The first lets clients buy and sell inside the platform, while the second lets them move assets on and off it, which is often how users judge a crypto broker’s offering.

By enabling withdrawals to external wallets, Interactive Brokers gives clients a path toward self-custody and greater flexibility over how they hold digital assets, rather than locking balances inside a closed platform. Rivals such as Kraken’s move into agentic trading tools show how exchanges are competing on control and functionality.

The broker said funding and external transfers process near-instantly, 24/7, including weekends and holidays, removing the settlement delays that constrain traditional banking rails.

What the Expansion Signals for the Crypto Brokerage Market

Interactive Brokers states crypto commissions run from 0.12% to 0.18% of trade value with a USD 1.75 minimum and no added spreads, markups, or custody fees. That low-cost positioning underscores a competitive pitch aimed at retail and institutional clients alike.

The move mirrors a broader convergence of mainstream brokerages and digital assets, echoing efforts like Binance’s plan to offer U.S. stock trading to non-U.S. users from the opposite direction.

“We believe digital assets should be integrated into a client’s broader financial experience, not treated separately,” said Milan Galik, referencing the firm’s strategy in the product materials.

The immediate market reaction was muted. AAVE, one of the newly added assets, traded around 97.89 USD, up 1.83% over 24 hours, with roughly 1.49 billion USD in market cap.

The 24-hour move in AAVE was positive but muted after the Interactive Brokers expansion announcement.

The subdued response tracks with cautious sentiment across the wider market, where the crypto Fear and Greed Index reads 25, classified as Extreme Fear.

Availability carries regional limits. The new assets are unavailable to Interactive Brokers Ireland clients, and stablecoin deposits and withdrawals are unavailable to Interactive Brokers U.K. Limited and Interactive Brokers Ireland Limited clients, with execution and custody provided by Paxos Trust Company or Zero Hash depending on account type and residence.
